Shopping Getaway

Are you a shopaholic? Look no further! Visit Sparta and take in all the different kinds of shopping we have to offer.

Day 1:

10:00 – Enjoy a walking tour of Sparta’s historic downtown shops including KEPS Naturals, an eco-friendly store and gift shop that also offers handmade, organic body products and clothing made in the USA. Stop at Search & Find Boutique for cute clothing and accessories, Cotton & Birch an upscale fashion and accessories boutique, and other unique shops.

1:00 – Have lunch at Rudy’s Drive-In. Located across from the big Ben Bikin’ statue, Rudy’s is an old-fashioned drive-in restaurant! Try their famous hot dogs with a refreshing draft root beer. Don’t forget to stop at the statue and have your picture taken!

4:30 – Check into one of Sparta’s hotels, motels, and cabins such as the Best Western, Caboose Cabins, Grapevine Log Cabins, Wisconsin Country Places, or Justin Trails.

5:30 – Order an authentic Chicago-style pizza at Slice of Chicago in their cozy dining room.

7:30 – Finish your day with a sunset stroll across Sparta’s unique Community Bridges, including the Beaver Creek Covered Bridge, Mary Morrow Bridge, the Pointe Covered Bridge, Love Lock Bridge, and the Ben Bikin’ Park Footbridge. Grab a glass of wine or bourbon from Cork & Barrel, conveniently located in downtown Sparta.

Day 2:

8:00 – Start your day with a coffee or refreshing smoothie made-to-order from the Franklin Coffeehouse.

10:00 – Visit the unique gift shops of Down a Country Road which showcase the products and crafts of over 40 local Amish families. After the visit, your experienced guide will share the rich history of the Amish culture as you tour the community, stopping at one or more farms along the way. You can also visit Countryside Woodshop for hand-crafted Amish furniture.

12:30 – Lunch at the Cotter Pin. With their urban rustic style, you will surely enjoy toasty Paninis, crispy quesadillas, pizza, and more. Full bar too.

2:00 – Looking for antiques? Stop by Janusheski Antiques and Sparta’s New and Used for unique furniture and collectibles.

5:00 – Dinner at The Vault where you will have a wide variety of burgers to choose from as well as wraps and Friday night fish.

Day 3:

10:00 – Enjoy breakfast at the Sparta Family Restaurant with an abundance of meal options in a warm and welcoming environment.

11:30 – Tour the big fiberglass molds at FAST Fiberglass.

12:30 – Lunch at the Zone. A fun atmosphere sports bar and grill featuring daily specials.

2:00 – Arrive for a tour of the Wegner Grotto which stands in a quiet, tree-shaded patch of rural Sparta. The Wegner’s engulfed the grotto in color and light by decorating their concrete sculptures with a brilliant mosaic of shattered glass and broken crockery. Hidden within the thousands of sparkling shards are a number of curiosities.
